Students come to University with a wide range of experiences and strategies underpinning their learning. Some may encourage effective learning practices, but others may be problematic in some ways. Expectations of teaching and learning also vary considerably, presenting substantial challenges to University educators.

This month’s material includes:

A Learning@Lunch seminar by Nicola Whitton of Manchester Metropolitan University on Exploring Playful Learning. This session presents a model of playful learning as both a pedagogic approach and a philosophy of teaching and learning.

A masterclass on Working with 21st Century Students delivered by Caroline Bowsher, Jane Mooney, Jennie Blake and Elizabeth Wilkinson on understanding student skills, expectations and needs.
